The Benson Theatre is located at 6054 Maple Street. Historically, it was dubbed The Benalto Theater and operated from 1923-1926. From 1927-1953, this theater was a part of a chain of neighborhood theaters that belonged to the Epstein Bros. The space at that time had an assembly of 400 and was originally created for film, community events, and vaudeville performances. Now we have a chance to help restore the theatre by raising some funds and donating them to a great cause! We will be chatting with Project Ambassador Monty Eich to learn more about this historical Omaha theatre! Check out the Benson Theatre website for more information! |
