Goodwill Industries, Inc. has been a leader in helping people fulfill their dreams through work since 1933! Goodwill Industries, Inc. put tools in the hands of those in the community who could not meet strenuous industrial labor demands because of physical or social handicaps. Goodwill enabled them to become self-supporting members of the community. As Goodwill grew out of one headquarters after another, the mission never wavered. “Not charity, but a chance.” The words were part of the first logo used, displayed proudly above the headquarters at the old Heinz Pickle Factory in 1938.
This year Goodwill is partnering with area Girl Scouts to collect donations that benefit Goodwill's mission! We will welcome marketing specialist Erin Burke and Junior Girl Scout Ashley Dunham to talk about the event and what it is they hope to accomplish!
