UNMC's Skate-a-thon for Parkinson's is on January 27 at 5pm til January 28th at 5pm. The 24-hour Skate-a-thon is to raise money for Parkinson's research at UNMC, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, and the PHD Program (Parkinson's Health Development), a local program that offers affordable exercises and activities to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson's. It's open to the public at the UNMC Ice Rink and you can skate for a $10 donation. Today we'll meet the Wuebbens and learn how this big event got started right in their own backyard! |
