Mike's Italian Breaded Steak
from
Mike DiGiacomo
Yield: 6 Steaks
Ingredients -
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 6 Breakfast Steaks (They are small/thin cuts of beef that you will want to cut in half. After you tenderize them, they will spread out.)
- 2 cups Bread Crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped Parsley
- 1 Tbls Garlic Salt
- 1 Tsp Pepper
- 1 cup Romano Cheese
- Mazola or similar vegetable oil
Combine Bread Crumbs, Parsely, Garlic Salt, Pepper, Romano Cheese. Mix and keep in a bowl. Beat eggs and milk together in separate bowl. With a meat tenderizer, beat steaks until they are very thin. But, don't tenderize them so much that they break apart. Dip steaks into egg wash, then in bread crumb mixture. Fry in skillet using Mazola. Be generous with the oil. A quarter of an inch in the pan will do. Fry them on each side until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels on plate to remove excess oil. Serve with your favorite pasta or Italian peppers. Or, just dip the breaded steak in your Nana's secret sauce!
