Mike’s Super Bowl Teriyaki
 
flat iron steak (or cut of your choice)
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup soy sauce
1 large clove garlic - chopped
1 tbsp grated ginger root
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp sake or white wine
2 tbsp toasted and crushed sesame seed. (toast them)
 
The store has both real ginger root (take off skin, and finely grate) and already
grated root in a jar or tube. Toasting sesame seeds at home is easy. Just heat in
small frying pan till brown (don’t burn). Then crush w mortar n pestle or just use back side of
wooden spoon. Marinate beef (whole or sliced) and chicken over night. Pork 4 hours. Baste on fish.
 
Grill or fry, serve with toothpicks
